Nigerian passport requirements - Registration - Online Payment

Find below different checklists that detail the mandatory items and documents you will need to present along with your completed application form when you attend your appointment at the Nigerian Mission. Data enrollment, biometric capture and issuing is done at the Nigerian Mission.

REQUIREMENTS FOR STANDARD E-PASSPORT FOR MINORS UNDER 18 YEARS (FIRST ISSUE)

  • Original & copy of birth certificate containing details of parents.

  • Letter of consent signed by both parents.

  • Photocopy of the data page of both parents’ current Nigerian passports.

  • Photocopy of the current data page of non-Nigerian parents.

  • Printout of the completed online passport application form.

  • Printout of the online payment confirmation and acknowledgment slips.

  • If any document you are providing is in a language other than English, provide an official translation. This must be signed and stamped by the official translator to prove it is genuine.

  • These requirements are for each child.

 

NOTE: These are essential requirements. If you are without these documents your child’s application will not be processed. Please bring ALL original documents accompanied by copies.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUANCE OF E-PASSPORTS TO HOLDERS OF OLD NIGERIAN PASSPORTS & EXPIRED E-PASSPORTS

  • Your old Nigerian passport(s).

  • In case of dual nationality, present the other passport(s).

  • Printout of the completed online passport application form.

  • Printout of the online passport application confirmed payment slip.

  • Printout of online application acknowledgment slip.

 

NOTE: These are essential requirements. If you are without these documents your child’s application will not be processed. Please bring ALL original documents accompanied by copies.
